The Humane Society of Washington County is pleased to share some of the wonderful stories we have received about the animals we have adopted from our facility. We hope you enjoy the following story:

Bear

We are the Purdies and we adopted “Bear”, a longhaired German Shepherd, from your shelter way back in November of 2006. Several times over the past three years, we have wanted to write to you, but have just now finally gotten around to doing so. Let me start by saying what an impact Bear has made on our family. He is my fitness partner and diligent protector of my wife and daughter, and best friend/playmate of my son. He has become such an integral member of our family that we find it difficult to leave him in order to take vacations.

Did you adopt a pet from the Humane Society of Washington County? If so, please feel free to let us know how your HSWC family member is doing.
