Horses for Adoption

Daisy and Titan

This lovely mother and son pair are an illustration of the beauty and joy that can emanate from an enormous horse rescue effort.

This wonderful little boy was named Titan, signifying the enormous strength it took for each and every horse to survive the ordeal they had been through. With Titan’s birth on June 5, 2007, the promise of what lies ahead looked even brighter.  This energetic young colt has a love of life and all that is around him.

Daisy, Titan’s mother, is a lovely seal brown mare approximately 8-10 years old. She stands 14.3 hands high and is quite friendly.

Friend

This beautiful young gentleman is a stunning 4 -6year old bay Arab-cross gelding. He is gaining confidence and wants to be social, hence his name. He is a pleasure to watch running across the field, as he is a lovely mover.
He stands about 15 hands high.

Grey Boy

This handsome young man is between 3 and 4 years old, and a striking dapple grey Arab-type. He is a recent gelding and stands about 15 hands high.. Grey Boy has not been handled and will need an owner with patience to win his confidence.

Rocky

Rocky is a beautiful liver chestnut gelding that we have been told is a Mustang, but also resembles a Rocky Mountain horse. We believe he is between 6 and 8 years of age and he stands around 15.2 hands high. He is not tolerant of handling and is very skittish. Because of this we feel he would be best placed with an experienced horse person. With the right person we believe he may turn around in time.

Spirit

This beautiful bay Arab-type mare is believed to be 8-10years old. At about 15 hands high, she has lovely expressive eyes. She started out very shy but is gaining in confidence and trust.

We believe she is probably not pregnant.

Sweet Sue

This flashy paint mare is appropriately named, as she is a sweet lady. Sweet Sue is a bit timid but with patience and confidence building she will surely become a wonderful companion and riding horse. Sue is 10-12 years old and stands about 14.2 hands high.

Additional horses from the Sharpsburg Horse Rescue are available at Pheasant Hill Farm in Adamstown, Maryland. View the slide show to see the Sharpsburg Rescue horses currently being housed and available at Pheasant Hill Farm.
