On Saturday, Ma 30th the staff and volunteers at Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) got sudsy and soapy washing people’s dogs for a donation at the annual Dog Wash and “Flealess Market”/Yard Sale.
From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., residents of Washington County brought their dogs to be washed, dried off and donned with a handmade bandana, all for a donation to the shelter. Numerous cats and dogs were also inoculated against rabies, all for a discounted price. Washington County Dog Animal Control officers were on hand selling county dog licenses as well.
Dogs were not the only ones to go home with something new as many good bargains awaited shoppers as they browsed the yard sale booths at the “Flealess Market”/Yard Sale. The weather was beautiful and the mood festive everyone seemed to have a great time at the event. We look forward to next year’s Dog Wash and “Flealess Market”/Yard sale!
