Adoption Fees
Dog Adoption Fee
Dog adoption fees are varied based on the age and size of the dog, and the medical treatment the dog has received. Dogs that are higher in demand are priced slightly above others in order to help provide for other canines that are in need of more extensive medical treatment.
Prior to taking your new canine friend home, they have received:
• Spay/Neutering (& post-op medication if needed)
• Microchipping
• Rabies Vaccine (if old enough)
• Distemper vaccine (every 21 days)
• Dewormer (every 2 weeks)
• Flea treatment (every 3 months)
• Bordetella vaccine
• Medication for treatment of various illnesses/diseases
• Often times corrective surgeries or procedures are required to help an animal live a better life free of pain or discomfort. (Examples: cherry eye surgery, eye removal, tooth extractions, amputations, etc.)
• Food/Water (often times specialized diets if required)
• Enrichment (toys, peanut butter Kongs, etc.)
In addition to the items listed above, upon taking your new canine friend home you will receive:
• ID tag
• Complimentary health exam by a participating Washington County veterinarian
• 30 days of complimentary pet health insurance
• 1 free week of GoodPup training. 20% off GoodPup training for life.
