HSWC is incredibly honored to have been named Non-Profit of the Year at the 19th Annual Washington County Business Awards! In addition to the award, HSWC received an unrestricted $1,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Washington County.

“On behalf of our Board of Directors and the staff and volunteers of the Humane Society, I would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc., and the committee of judges. We are incredibly honored to have been named Non-Profit of the Year and are humbled to have been in the same category with the other finalists that both contribute greatly to our community. I also want to publicly thank all the staff members and volunteers at our organization who give selflessly to the animals every single day and thank our donors for their generous contributions and support. We could not do this work without them!”
